Skoda Kodiaq gets the vRS Performance Treatment
Are you thinking about purchasing a brand-new Skoda? This brand has a fantastic record for producing high quality, reliable cars that are suitable for a wide range of different drivers. At Sinclair Skoda, we are the premier Skoda franchise in South Wales and have numerous Skoda models available to purchase including the Skoda Kodiaq vRS.
This model is particularly special due to the fact that the vRS treatment is typically reserved for Fabia and Octavia hatchbacks. Now, we’re excited to highlight that the beautiful, deluxe, seven-seater has been provided with this performance treatment. So, will it deliver the level of performance you want on the road?
The Main Features
How do you know if this is the right choice for you? Well, the main concept here is a vehicle that provides a high level of performance on the road without taking a hit on efficiency levels. As well as this, the vehicle is designed with space in mind while also boasting a great level of practicality too. If this sounds like the type of car you need then the Skoda Kodiaq vRS could be perfect for you.
It’s impossible to explore this vehicle and what it can offer without examining the specs. There are a few important factors to be aware of here.
First, the car is now available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This boasts two turbochargers designed to ensure that response is greatly improved and able to offer 240hp. Despite this impressive power level, the car can still hit about 44.1mpg.
It’s fast too with a fantastic acceleration that will take you from zero to sixty in just seven seconds.
The new Kodiaq offers more than just under the hood improvements. This is a great looking vehicle which isn’t too different from the Sportline trim that was already available. There are, however, a few key features to be aware of including 20-inch alloys and great bumpers as well as red vRS badges.
The design benefits go beyond the exterior as well. For instance, you will love the sports pedals, the heated flat-bottom steering wheel and the carbon leather seats. All in all, this car feels like a sports dream.
Handling and Performance
Of course, the real question is whether the new model offers a better level of performance. Well, we’re pleased to say that this does give you an improvement, even when compared to the previous sports trim. It provides a fantastic drive which offers gain in both steering and suspension. As well as this, there’s a sport traction control mode. This means that you will be able to slide for more powerful braking. If you do choose to drive with the sports mode on, you’ll find that it gives the steering more weight while offering a firmer level of suspension.
We’re also impressed with how the car sounds when it’s on the road. That’s thanks to the brilliant Dynamic Sound Boost. While it won’t quite match a V8 it still has a powerful roar.
Ultimately then, this is a marked improvement over previous models, providing a fantastic level of space and a brilliant performance upgrade you won’t want to miss out on.
